Announcing my next book, releasing in February 2025!

I hope you’ve had a wonderful holiday season and a not-too-hectic end to 2024. I know it gets crazy around the last few months of the year, but hopefully some of that craziness is enjoyable!

New Release!

I’m so excited to announce my next book, the first book I’ll be releasing in 2025! I’m so excited about it, as it’s different from the books I’ve released previously. I’ll share why, but first, more about my next book, which is entitled Molly!

Back Cover Blurb:

Molly always knew she was adopted. What she didn’t know was that she had a twin sister—a twin sister her mother kept while Molly was given up.

With her own wedding on the horizon, Molly decides to pick up a cold trail in search of family who’d let her go, family she never knew she’d lost, in an effort to reconnect and invite them into her life.

Her search takes her to the coastal town of Harborview, where her arrival stirs up a storm of emotions and memories within those she meets, a storm she’s somehow at the center of.

But that’s not the only storm picking up, as Molly is haunted by a recurring nightmare she doesn’t understand.

Molly thought her trip to Harborview would be straightforward and simple, but as things unravel, she discovers the truth is anything but.

The Story Behind Molly:

I initially didn’t plan to write Molly this year, and I hadn’t planned on releasing it in 2025. I had the idea for this story early this year, and I was immediately excited by it. I started thinking about it often and jotting down scenes and ideas. However, the more I thought about it, I realized the book would be shorter than my other books, and I also knew that the book itself would be a more difficult one to market. The story is compact and sort of niche, leaving me unsure how I’d be able to properly share about it the way authors share about books on social media without spoiling anything. Tropes feel like they’ll give too much away, sharing comp titles will definitely spoil the twists, and to top it all off, I’ve never been the best at coming up with marketing ideas anyway!

Needless to say, I’d left the idea for Molly on the back burner. I kept my notes and decided I’d write it sometime when I had a break just for fun, and that I wouldn’t publish it, but might get some copies printed for family and friends who I knew would like it. It was a story idea I was in love with but I wasn’t sure it would appeal so much to others.

I got to work on a different book (one I’ve nearly finished now and will hopefully be releasing this summer!) and got about forty-thousand words in before I got stumped. This had never happened with my previous books, so it really threw me off. For weeks I was completely stuck and felt as though I had nothing left in me for the book I was working on at the time. So, I decided to take a break. During that time, I spent some time in prayer, asking what I should work on. I still had the itch to write, but I knew I needed to give the project I was in the middle of time to breathe. As I was praying, I was reminded of the story I’d wanted to write about a character named Molly. Once again, I felt that same level of excitement just thinking about the story, so I pulled out my notes, sat down, and started to write. I wrote Molly without an outline and with no intention of publishing this book. I wrote it because it was a story I really wanted to tell, and one I really wanted to read. And somehow, all that creative burnout I’d been feeling vanished in the process.

By the time I finished Molly, I’d fallen more in love with the story and characters than I expected. I started to wonder if I should consider publishing it and sharing it with others, but I was still unsure, so, I asked my husband to read it, just to see what he thought. He told me that out of all the books I’d written so far, it was his favorite.

That sealed the deal for me; I decided Molly was officially going to be published as my first book of 2025.

All that to say, I could not be more excited to bring this story to you! If you give Molly a chance, I hope you love the story and characters as much as I do. :) If you’re interested in receiving a digital ARC of Molly and helping me out with an early review, you can sign up here!

Talk more soon! God bless!
