New Book Incoming + Updates!
I’m SO excited to announce my next book coming out in 2024, Dear Patience, Sincerely Lucy. This has been a total dream project for me, and the story means more to me than I can express. I can’t wait to share more about it! :)
This is also the last book I’ll be releasing until next year. I have my first book of 2025 in the works right now, but I’m taking the writing process slower than usual due to how busy the summer season has been!
Dear Patience, Sincerely Lucy is a change from my previous two books. This one isn’t science fiction or mystery (surprise!!). Lucy’s story is simpler, a contemporary fiction book with clean romance, relatable struggles and a happy ending. While romance is a large part of the story, it’s not entirely the main focus. Lucy’s mistakes, struggles, and growth make up the center of this book. I hope her story is encouraging to anyone who is dealing with or has dealt with similar emotions and situations!
I’d say this book is The Devil Wears Prada meets Whisper of the Heart! :) Probably not a combination you’d expect, but hey, it’s surprisingly accurate!
For this book, I thought it would be fun to have an all girl team, so I pulled in three of my friends to help me with everything! My friend Taylor illustrated the cover, my friend Janae made illustrations for all the chapter headings, and my friend Catalina edited the book. It’s been the best getting to work with friends who are so talented to make this book everything I hoped it could be! :)
Anyway, I’ll be sharing lots more about this book over the next couple of months, especially on my Instagram, so follow me there if you want consistent updates! :) I’'ll put the blurb below, and you can sign up for an eARC here, or by clicking the image above!!
In other news, I’ve been so happy and warmed by the incredible reception of Fog Crest. So many of you love Josie, Marie, and Nat just as much as I do, so I’m super happy to say I’ve commissioned some artwork of the three of them! I’ve seen some initial sketches and I couldn’t be happier with how the artist interpreted the characters. I can’t wait to share it with you all soon!
I also want to say a huge thank you for all the reviews on Shadows of Memory. Last I checked, we are at fifty-nine reviews on Amazon, which is huge and amazing and I am so grateful! Thank you! Fog Crest isn’t looking too shabby either, with nineteen Amazon reviews thus far about a month and a half after release. Thank you again! :)
Here’s the book blurb for more information:
Lucy Greene is surviving her twenties.
At twenty-three, she thought by now she’d have things figured out, or that she’d at least have some sort of plan. Instead, she still has no idea what she wants to do with her future.
She doesn’t have time to plan her future anyway, not while she’s working as the personal assistant of a woman who does have plans—a lot of them, leaving Lucy with almost no space for her own life, responsibilities, and relationships. It's a job she never thought she’d end up with, a job everyone tells her she’s lucky to have. But despite the amount of people who’ve told Lucy they wish they were in her shoes, she doesn’t feel lucky. She feels totally in over her head.
With no other plans or dreams to go after, Lucy puts her all into her job, allowing it to take priority in her life and ignoring the growing dread in the back of her mind that she’ll never find something she loves to do. She keeps her true feelings to herself, until she runs into someone who begins breaking down her walls.
Lucy’s hectic life is balanced like a crooked Jenga tower, and something is about to give.
Thank you again! I can’t wait to share Dear Patience, Sincerely Lucy with you all! :)
